Don’t Settle For Anything Less

I’d like to begin my letter to you with this question: What are two of the greatest factors that will position you to receive God’s best?

The Lord gave me a prophetic word for this year saying, “2023 will be the year of the maximum, the year of the highest level attainable.”

That’s what I pray for you to experience God’s best, the Maximum, not mediocre or barely enough to get by and struggle to make it. No, I want to see you experience all the favor, blessings, and goodness of God. Not for some self-serving purpose, but for you to be blessed to be a blessing.

What does it look like to experience God’s best?

Did you know that walking in God’s best is the result of walking in His ways? Think about it like this – It’s impossible to experience God’s best without following His ways. Jesus instructed His disciples (including you and me), “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right)…” (Matthew 6:33 Amplified).

And guess what, He’s right 100% of the time! I heard Kenneth Copeland say several years ago, “God is always right, we’re not.” If you’re not experiencing His best, the Bible says in the Book of Haggai, “Consider your ways” (Haggi

1:2-7).

It’s doing things your way and not God’s way that keeps you from enjoying maximum results. Proverbs 12:15 reveals, “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes…” Don’t be foolish, learn to do things His way.

That’s why the book of Proverbs also says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

God’s desire is for you to experience His best in every area of your life and living His way is the only method for that to take place. And this certainly includes experiencing maximum results and the highest level attainable in 2023.

The Apostle Paul tells us that after we’re born-again and receive the nature of God, we also now have access to “The mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16).

This means you now can think as He thinks and do things the way that He does them. Which obviously, puts you in the position to experience His best.

Paul also says that as you continue in the process of renewing your mind that you now can also expect to be in “The perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). If you’re in the perfect will of God, then you will most certainly experience His best in your life.

Are you willing to do things God’s way?

So, what are two of the greatest factors in experiencing God’s best?

The first factor is FAITH. You must trust the Lord and lean not to your own understanding. You have to be willing to do things God’s way even if it goes against all natural reasoning. The Word of God must be the final authority in your life.

Jesus instructs us to, “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). The author of Hebrews reveals, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly (diligently) seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Living a life of faith takes diligence, discipline, and determination to be successful.

The life that pleases God is a life that totally trusts Him and His Word, needing no other evidence other than what He has said.

The second factor is LOVE. According to Galatians 5:6, “Faith works by love.” A true person of faith loves God and loves others, including the people in life that aren’t very lovable. Jesus revealed if you only love them that love you “what reward have you?” (Matthew 5:46).

Many Christians have great faith, but they miss out on God’s best because they aren’t operating in love. Do you have strife in your life? Do you have bitterness gripping your heart or unforgiveness? Are you easily offended or hold grudges?

Always remember this: Faith won’t work in an unforgiving heart.

You’ll never experience God’s best if you’re not walking in love.

Choose to forgive. Don’t hold a grudge. Make allowances for people who mistreat you. Some people just don’t know any better. Rather than assuming the worse about their intentions, choose to believe the best.

Do you truly want God’s best? Do you want maximum results and the highest level attainable? Then commit to faith working by love.

Faith and love position you to experience God’s best.

Paul explains to the believers in Corinth “…if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing” (1 Corinthians 13:2). Faith minus love equals nothing.

You can grow in your faith, and you can grow in your love for others. Walking in God’s best requires both.

Lacking love will block God’s best from your life. It will hold you back and keep you from maximum results and the highest level attainable.

I pray that you’ll receive this word today. Determine right now that you will activate your faith through walking in love today. Make the decision to forgive all those who have treated you wrongly and spoken evil against you. Remove all strife from your life and live free of bitterness and offense.

I want to see you experience God’s best, the maximum results – the highest level attainable. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to speak God’s Word into your life.

You need to hear this month’s teaching resource titled, Don’t Settle For Anything Less. In it, I’m able to go into greater detail concerning the prophetic word for 2023 and the two factors for experiencing God’s best – faith and love.

When you give this month, my team will send you the monthly teaching right away.

One of the ways love is seen, is through a life of generosity. Love moves you to give and help others. Love places others’ needs above your own. Love always leads to selflessness.

Pray about giving a “love gift” this month. Make it your goal to give out of a loving, generous heart. It’s a joy to give and be generous. In fact, God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

You can give securely and conveniently online, simply go to jsmiaustralia.org/offering or by calling +61 7 5576 5534, and be sure to check the relevant box to receive your CD or MP3.

This is the year for you to walk in a greater level of God’s best. I’m standing with you and praying for you.

In Him,

Jerry Savelle

P.S. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:8-9 that God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Step up to a higher level this year! Seek first His Kingdom. Trust the Lord and His Word, and lean not to your own understanding. Live life God’s way. Make His ways and thoughts yours. I’m here to help you along the way and help you grow in faith and love. I hope to hear from you soon!
