The Expression of Gods Will

God Has Spoken to Us by His Son

Hebrews 1:1-4 – “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his  person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (v.3).

2 Corinthians 4:4 – “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Colossians 1:12-15 – “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature” (v.15).

Jesus is everything that God wills.

Jesus is God’s will in action.

God has perfectly expressed His will in Jesus.

Jesus perfectly pleased God in all that He did.

God’s Will Was and Is Expressed through Jesus in Its Fullest Form

God’s will is expressed through Jesus by:
The virgin birth
His earth walk
His death on the cross
His resurrection from the dead

Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, Intercessor, Advocate, General of the Church, and soon coming King.

Jesus is the exact image of God, and we are predestined to be conformed to His image.

God’s Will Concerning Healing Was Expressed in Jesus at Calvary

Isaiah 53:4-12 – “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (v.5).

It is a sure thing that Jesus bore our sickness and carried our disease.
Hebrew 7:22 –“By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.”

Isaiah 53:4 (AMP) – “Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains…”

It was the will of the Lord to bruise Jesus.

Isaiah 53:10 (AMP) – “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him…”

Matthew 8:17 – “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet,  saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

God Was with Jesus as He Expressed the Father’s Will

Acts 10:38 – “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Jesus (the expression of God’s will) will never refuse to heal anyone. a. Luke 6:17-19 – “…and he healed them all” (v.19).

Jesus never asked God if it was His will to heal; He knew God’s attitude toward sickness.

Jesus never told anyone that they would have to remain sick so God could teach them something.

Unbelief hindered people from receiving healing in Jesus’ hometown.

Matthew 13:58 – “And he did not many mighty works there because of
    their unbelief.”

God Sent Jesus to Destroy Satan’s Work in the Lives of the People

Matthew 15:30-31 – “And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.”

1 John 3:8 – “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Jesus ministered to many people who had a covenant to God but were not walking in the light of it.

Jesus came to do God’s will in the earth. a. Luke 13:16 – “And ought not this woman,  being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?”

God set Jesus in direct opposition to Satan, the curse, and all its effects.

“I Will”

Luke 5:12-13 – “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.”

Jesus expressed God’s will with two words, “I will.”

Healing is God’s will or Jesus would not have healed all who came to Him.

To Look at Jesus Is to Look at the Father

John 14:8-10 – “…the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works” (v.10).

John 8:28 (AMP) – “…I do nothing from Myself (of My own accord or on My own authority), but I say [exactly] what My Father has taught Me.”

John 6:38 – “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”

Matthew 13:15 – “…lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”
