How to Stop satan from Stealing the Word
God’s Word Is the Seed
Mark 4:14-20 – “The sower soweth the word” (v.14).
The Word is the seed; man’s heart is the ground.
You must have the seed of the Word planted in you before you can successfully reap the harvest.
The Word is the incorruptible seed.
1 Peter 1:23 – “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
Seeds of doubt and unbelief have been sown by traditions that came as a result of head knowledge instead of revelation knowledge.
Tradition makes the Word of no effect.
Matthew 15:6 – “…Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.”
Only you have the power to stop the Word from working. You are the only one who can allow Satan to steal the Word.
Planting the Seed
Many try to reap a harvest without first planting the seed.
Until you know what God’s Word says, you are trying to reap a harvest where there is no seed planted.
Don’t dig up seeds just because the manifestation didn’t come immediately. This does not mean the seed is not working.
Your Heart Is the Ground
God has not only provided the seed, but He has also prepared the ground.
God has prepared the ground of your heart by creating you in His image.
Ephesians 4:24 – “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Satan Comes to Steal the Word
Mark 4:15 – “And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh the word that was sown in their hearts.”
The Word would have produced, but they allowed Satan to steal it.
Satan steals through doubt, unbelief, and tradition.
If Satan can get the Word out of your heart, then you will be nonproductive.
The seed was taken out of the ground and therefore it could produce no harvest.
Satan Attempts to Steal the Word from the Apostle Paul
2 Corinthians 12:1,7-10 – “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure” (v.7).
Once you receive revelation knowledge which will govern Satan’s operations, he immediately comes to steal that Word.
The messenger of Satan dealt blow after blow to Paul trying to steal the Word.
• Acts 13:45-50 – “But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts” (v.50).
Acts 14:5-6, 19-20 – “And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead” (v.19).
This spirit was assigned to Paul to keep the Word from being preached.
You will have to stand in faith for every word of revelation you receive.
Paul had received the revelation of the authority of the believer, and he had to enforce that authority himself.
Ephesians 1:19 – “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”
Ephesians 6:10-17 – “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
God will not deal with Satan for you, but when you use your authority, all of heaven guarantees results.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (Weymouth) – “My grace suffices you for power is perfected in weakness.”
This messenger could gain no victory over Paul because the power of Christ rested upon him.
Philippians 4:12-13 (AMP) – “…I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation…I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me…”
Becoming Good Ground
When the Word is planted in good ground, free from hindrances, the crop that is produced will be God’s will for your life.
Acting on the Word will cause the Word to bring forth fruit.
Good ground hears the Word, receives the Word, and does the Word.
Five Steps to Stopping Satan from Stealing the Word
Plant the seed – God’s Word.
Give the Word first place in order to be good ground. Allow the Word to be final authority.
Meditate the Word – set your mind on the Word.
Produce fruit by acting on the Word.
James 1:25 – “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Hold fast to God’s Word and confession of your faith in time of trouble.
Hebrews 10:35-36 – “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward” (v.35).
Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
