Since the beginning of this year the Lord has instructed me to encourage you to make this your heart-cry for 2018 – SHOW ME YOUR GLORY!
In Exodus 33 starting in verse 18 Moses made this same exact declaration “…show me your glory.” and God answered his prayer. Over the next few verses we see God describe demonstrations of glory to Moses in vs. 19 “…I will make all My goodness pass before you,” vs. 22 “…When my glory passes by” And in chapter 34:10 the Lord talks about making a covenant with the people and says “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you.” Like Moses, our heart cry throughout 2018 should be Show Me Your Glory! God did not deny Moses and He will not deny us. Once again in Exodus 34:10 He told Moses that “The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you” Think about that! Is this not enlarging your sphere of influence with the people that are around you so that they will not be able to deny that your God is a Good God?
Like God did with Moses and the people, He wants to do these same things for you. It is His supreme desire that the Earth be filled with the knowledge of His Glory! He wants to manifest His presence, His power, and His goodness so frequently that it is on the lips and minds of everyone here on the Earth. Remember the O.J. Simpson trial and how it captured the whole worlds attention. Well, during that trial, I went to preach deep into the African bush where there were no paved roads, no running water, no electricity, and no televisions; and the pastors I met asked me about that trial. Even way out there they heard about it? I believe the day is fast approaching where Gods glory is going to be undeniable and every corner of this earth will bear witness to it’s manifestation.
Isaiah 60 talks about the non-believers or the Gentiles seeing the glory of the Lord upon us. How will they know? The presence, the power, and the goodness of God will be manifesting at such a level on us that they can’t deny that our God is a good God.
Once again, I keep hearing in my spirit to tell the believers all over the world that the cry of your heart this year should be “SHOW ME YOUR GLORY”. Write it down because I believe we are the generation that’s going to see it like never before. Amen! Remember Isaiah said the Gentiles (non-believers) will
see it on us and I believe it’s going to be one of our greatest soul winning tools as people start seeing the goodness of God, the manifestation of the presence of God and the power of God on our lives. They will be drawn to us like a magnet and we’re going to win more people to Christ through these demonstrations of glory than ever before.
You might be thinking “Well Brother Jerry it’s not probable that the Gentiles (non-believers) will be talking about His goodness,” but in Psalm 126 it says they will. In verses 1 and 2 it says the Lord brought back or restored the exiles of Zion. Zion represents God’s people. It was so miraculous that God’s people thought they were dreaming and their mouths were filled with laughter and singing. Even the heathen said, The LORD has done great things for them. Notice it is the heathen not the believers talking about the goodness of God. So wouldn’t you agree that this would be a manifestation of God’s glory? This happened when I first went into the ministry and the Lord sent me to Pismo Beach during the hippy movement. God did great miracles and saved and delivered so many of them that it became known as the Jesus Movement; and people were talking about it 100 miles away. Churches began to fill up. Well it is coming back big time! I believe it is beginning in 2018 with greater manifestations of His presence, power, and goodness.
Ephesians 2:7 says that “…in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace and His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” One translation says “in successive generations”. Paul wrote this and he’s saying that the generations that come after his generation are going to experience the exceeding riches of His grace, and His kindness will be towards us who are in Christ Jesus. The Message translation says, “Now God has us where He wants us with all the time in the world and the next, to shower grace and kindness upon us who are in Christ Jesus.” God has you right where He wants you and His desire is to shower grace and kindness on you.
The word shower here means profusely and abundantly. God is going to shower His goodness and kindness, His grace and favor upon us like no other generation has experience. The Amplified Bible says, “…so that He might clearly show the immeasurable, and unsurpassed riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
Another word for unsurpassed is unexceeded which implies it’s never been seen or done to a greater degree. You haven’t heard or seen anything yet! Unprecedented that’s where we’re heading. Here are some synonyms I looked up along with the word unexceeded: outdo, over the top, transcend and outperform. So what is God saying? I’m going to outdo Myself. What I’m going to do for you is over the top. It will transcend anything you’ve ever experienced before. I’ll outperform anything I’ve done in your life in days past.
This is where we’re headed this year. Just know that the Prophetic Word that the Lord gives me every year I have to hold fast to it, decree it, confess it, and talk about it day in and day out and so will you. It’s the faithful that will flourish. You can’t sit and hope it will happen you must actively engage your faith and decree and hold fast to your declaration until it happens.
The Bible says that there is goodness in reserve that is “…laid up…” for those that reverence Him, that you and I have never experienced before according to Psalm 31:19. God has set up a time table waiting for the right moment to release what is laid up for us. Like a trust fund God has laid up for us His goodness which you and I have not even touched yet.
One of the greatest keys to experience more and more of the goodness of God is an attitude of gratitude or praise and thanksgiving. Don’t ever stop talking about the goodness of God. Remind yourself constantly. God likes to be thanked and praised. He likes to know you appreciate the good things He’s doing in your life. Ask yourself, when was the last time I went before the throne saying, “Lord I have needs, but I don’t want to talk about that. I just want to praise and thank you for all you have done!” I encourage you to praise Him more!
Also, I challenge you throughout this year to daily keep on your lips and in your heart – SHOW ME YOUR GLORY!
